From Out of the Sand

Choose to live as a ” no-matter-what ” disciple of Christ.

About the Book

Having isolated myself from the Lord, I was spiritually drowning, tired and worn from life’s pressures. I was finished. No longer willing to go through the motions, I was ready to turn my back, walk away from God, and never look back. And yet I said one last prayer, hoping to receive something to grab me up out of my despair. Alone, depressed, and silent in my chair, the Holy Spirit simply said, “I hear your cry.” He rescued me from self-destruction, and placed my feet on solid ground. My journey back into His presence has been a long but rewarding trek. He revealed my heart, and I had to confess, repent, and return for more instruction because it was true and done with love. I am humbled that He took so much time with me. He is my great I Am! My chronicled inspirational and poetic journey back into His presence was my revelation, and I now know that I was not alone in my drowning. So many people feel unworthy, lost, pressured, or isolated, and want to be comforted by personally knowing that God hears their cry as well. God wants to free you from feeling unworthy. He wants to tell you exactly where you are in Him and lead you into a closer relationship with Him. This book encourages you to listen, obey, and be responsible to the Holy Spirit. You are not alone!

“I hear your cry” ushered me into His peace. It is more than enough.

About the author

Anchored in Grace

Steve volunteered for the Navy and submarine service, where he was assigned to the Electronics Technician (ET) division. He qualified for many watch stations, including the most senior underway watch station for enlisted personnel—Chief of the Watch. After the Navy, Steve became deeply involved with electronic manufacturing processes and controls.

Not held as a child, Steve grew up mentally confined to his sandbox play area and fell behind others in school. Yet, he learned much over time by observing those around him. When Steve realized that life would pass him by if he didn’t find a way out of his self-imposed limitations, he sought direction from the Lord and felt led to join the Navy for Electronic Training.

God honored Steve’s faith and trust by making a way for him to enter the school, even though he didn’t initially have the required test scores. God showed up again during boot camp, when Steve’s records were reviewed and it was discovered that he hadn’t met the minimum course requirements. Despite this, he was allowed to continue. Throughout the year-long training, each instructor noted that Steve tried hard but believed he would not succeed. However, it was simply God honoring His word to help Steve.

Steve now encourages others to seek the Lord and have faith in His direction. Each time they do, they will come to recognize the voice of the Holy Spirit and gain confidence in their relationship with Him.

Much like a short-order cook, Steve Sieting shares his thoughts, views, and personal experiences—along with biblical scriptures—to paint a picture of his life in snapshots of time. Although he was not held as a child and fell behind in school, Steve refuses to allow himself or others to make excuses for their struggles. Each snippet is intended to encourage readers to pause for self-reflection, using the Holy Spirit and the Bible as tools to grow and improve in the Lord.
